Step Two - Create a New Email

You will see that a “Test Email” template has been set up. You are able to copy this templated structure over and edit the content to create your newsletter.

Create a new email message from scratch adding templates that suits the structure you would like.

  • Select “Create new email message”
  • Choose whether it will be displayed on the website (You may like to do this to encourage others to sign up for your newsletter or you may choose to keep your newsletters for members only with specials etc).
  • Select which group you would like to send to (Everyone etc)
  • Create a punchy subject line for the email. Try and keep words such as “free” out of the subject line as these can be picked up by spam filters and classed as junk mail.

Step Three - Add Text and Images

Create a new text box – its best to use the right side for main images and text and the left for quick links to your site and larger articles and/or tips and tricks

Types of Text Boxes

  • Right Column Paragraph – best used for editorial content
  • Right Column Read More – best used for lengthy paragraphs of text
  • Right Column Link – small amount of text then link to your website

Enter the text and images for your newsletter like you would in a web page template (see working with templates)

Continue until you have entered all the content for your newsletter
